With its discreet entrance Le Preverger is a secluded retreat from a hectic world nestled in a forest high in the Massif des Maures. Le Preverger is set in its luxuriant, extensive estate amid olive orchards and attractive gardens overlooking a verdant valley framed by forests. As keen gardeners and nature lovers, we deeply appreciated the peace, calm and beauty of Le Preverger and its estate. We sat in the late autumn sunshine and soaked in the view and heard only bird song. Bliss.
We savoured the truly exquisite fine dining prepared by our private chef, Michael. Many of the ingredients were freshly grown or gathered on the estate. The meals were memorable and were complimented with fine wines enjoyed in a relaxed, convivial and unstuffy atmosphere with our new friends, our fellow guests. After dinner we relaxed in the well- stocked bar and talked and laughed with our new friends well into the night before falling asleep in our emperor- size bed cocooned in the very highest quality cotton bedding.
Le Preverger has a secluded swimming pool, tennis court and many other facilities. We visited Port Grimaud and St Tropez on our short visit, but there is no shortage of places to explore within reach of le Preverger.
We were well looked after by the attentive, friendly staff throughout our stay. Many thanks to Anna, Patrick and another member of staff. A special thanks to Chef Michael for his superb cuisine. Many thanks also to Dennis and Rafiq for making us so welcome and, of course, a big thank you to John Spence for opening up this wonderful property to members.
We feel deeply privileged to have stayed at Le Preverger. We will cherish our memories of an all-to-brief break. This was truly a memorable experience- a brief glimpse into a luxury lifestyle! If you have the opportunity to book a stay at le Preverger, we strongly recommend you take advantage of it; you won’t be disappointed.
