Dear Rachel,
My partner and I got back from our week in Crete at the Karma Minoan on Saturday. We had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, the staff were so welcoming. Georgia, Maryna, Anna, Stelios, Dragon and all the staff went out of their way each day to be friendly and helpful. I'm sorry for any misspelling and for missing out some staff whose names I didn't catch. The food was excellent, the rooms well-kept and the view was stunning.
I think I can honestly say it's the first time in the last 18 months that I felt truly relaxed. The change of weather, activities, scenery and the lovely surroundings, staff and facilities of the Karma Minoan made the world of difference. While the worst of the pandemic seems to thankfully be over, work for us has far from returned to normal and remains quite demoralizing with staff shortages, having to regularly cancel patients' operations and the uncertainty of what the winter is going to bring. Last week allowed me to forget about all of that for a time which I really needed to do!
I'm still moved by the time and effort you have put into Operation Recuperation and by the generosity of your donors. Thank you so much. I would be grateful if this email could be forwarded to Mr Spence so I can thank him for his very generous gift.
With warmest wishes,
Roseita
