We are member with the Royal Resort since 2013 and had visits resorts in Goa, Jaipur and Kovalam. This year we visited Chiang Mai with our 2 kids in April.
The service from reception was very cordial and everything was kept ready. The Road to the resort was a Highway on a hilly terrain and it was a pleasant Trip from the Airport. The executive Mr. Klang was very supportive. He gave us all information about the resort and also about nearby shops outside.
The Wi-Fi speed is excellent. The resort has a very good collection of DVD and books free for members use and also they have kids cycles for use which my children loved and was using whenever they feel like. We stayed in a 2BR villa which was very spacious with kitchen and Backyard. It was almost like a separate house.
The housekeeping was excellent were very helpful throughout the stay and kitchen was equipped for Indian cooking as well.
The resort has a tennis court and you take on rent racket at a cost which was very reasonable. There are 2 pools and well maintained and we could feel the fresh water. The resort in itself is a very serene. The location is like a Jungle and is very peaceful from the bustling city. There are plenty of trees around and walking in the woods was a great experience especially during and after rain.
The resort has facilities like rent a car/bike, restaurant, massage and spa. Tiger kingdom, Elephant farm and Night Safari , Doi Sutheep and Chinag Dau caves are all about 1-2 Hours drive from the resort and there are all not to be missed.
We stayed for 5 days and we spent 2 full days only in the resort as the kids enjoyed so much that they did not want to venture out. Overall the stay was excellent with home like experience. The backyard gives a picturesque view of the mountain and we experienced rainfall during our stay which was beautiful. Overall the Thai people are so kind and soft spoken that make you feel so comfortable.
Special mention to Mr. Klang, Ms Birdy and all staffs who were present 24 Hrs for any service and were very prompt. We are very happy with our vacation in Chiang Mai and have sweet memories. It’s a nice and relaxing place away from city. This is an excellent place for Family with Kids to enjoy quality family time in a relax atmosphere with Nature.
We would say this is one of the best destinations of Odyssey and would love to visit again with full week stay in Chiang Mai.
